Not worth working with. Does not understand the coder's perspective of the work well. Before I started work, I told him that his existing scripts will need to be changed according to the new system. After his consent, I did the developmented and installed everything on his system and ensured that it worked fine. I also showed him the parts that needed to be added to his existing scripts for them to work. A day later, I get a mail that he tried his old script without making teh changes, it didn't work and so he deleted all my work off the server and restored the previous configuration.

October 2, 2001 3:16:31 PM EDT
Bob knows his target better than the coder, making it easier to work with. His testing abilities have helped me find and solve problems encountered. Bob is flexible on a lot of things, and he is making a lot of discounts to the coder. Communication is excellent, Bob was replying to most of the emails in under 2 minutes. I would be happy to work with Bob in the future and I strongly recommend this Buyer.
Bob - Best Luck with your ISP, and your future projects.

September 13, 2001 3:32:10 PM EDT
Bob is a nice enough guy who just wants things done.

Unfortunately, he (like many other buyers on RentACoder) has only a limited knowledge of what his requirements are, and is unable to respond informatively to specific questions. He just wants it to work.

Communications failed. Bob became not just dissatisfied, but almost angry. I solved the problems, but he is just not interested anymore. Too bad.

Burned, not by the technical issues, but by the buyer's expectations that his problems can be solved without his participation in the specific requirements of the solution.
