Description:
I run Linux Slackware 7.1 kernel 2.4.5
I'll learn how to ask my request properly one of these days. I'm catching on very quickly.
1.) Need help to make this script receive user name from a web page and restore their access. www.kingmanaz.net/misc/re-able.pl or write one that will. I don't care Your choice !!.
2.) The web page is not on the server for security reasons. It will be kept with admin.
3.) The script MUST work without having to change security. MUST WORK with out having to loosen the permissions to file:666 and dir:777, My other webpage based adduser etc... solutions in perl are working fine, there is no reason for this one not to also.
4.) Only one user name has to be entered at a time. Only the user name is required. No password will be entered.
5.) You must tell me everything that is going to be done, tell me everything I'm going to have to do to my system after your done. If you don't I WILL NOT PAY YOU. No more surprises.
6.) Must work with Apache. Must work with my system. Did I leave anything out?
Don't test me.

Hello Bob!
Here is a description of how I plan to complete this project :
We will have the existing reenable user script in a seperate directory off the server accesible only by the admin. Now instead of changing the permissions on the script and the directory which hosts the script as you mentioned in the description, we will set the 'su id' of the script to make the script run as superuser everytime it executes. This is necessary as the script needs to run as superuser to make the necessary changes but the script when executed by default from Apache runs as nobody.
I understand the criticality of this project and am confident that I will be able to make the delivery by tomorrow i.e sunday
My Bid for this project is higher than the last one because of the fact that I need to devote more time to this work than in the earlier approach of changing file and directory permissions.
looking forward to hear from you.
regards
Ankur Verma
