I from Argentina. I studied english for three years but then i have to leave due the school. Now i'm finishim the school with a title of Avionics Technical. Five years ago i begun learning Visual Basic to nowadays. I started with VB 5 and later i change to VB 6.0. In this five years i maked a lot of own projects: -CD Player -Midi & Wav Player -Calculator -Graphic Calculator -Windows enviroment Zoom -A Keylogger -A picture viewer -A Wordpad imitation -A better Paint imitation program with many image FX -A CD Tape maker -A photoscreen taker -A Network Tic-tac-toe with multiplayers -A File splitter -A program for a teacher to upload students files to the LAN network -A complete Diary using databases (with reminder) -A module to load PCB files (Protel 98 - Genre: Electronics) for a school big project -A 2D game for childrens like a RPG -A Arkanoid game imitation -A fighting game (Using DirectX) -A control program for the LPT port (parallel port) -A algorithm to compress images using the idea of Mike (in Planet-Source-Code.com). The idea is to find the repeat blocks of an image and replace its to only one. And i could mean the projects that have an own Hardware (Too using VB): -A Oscilloscope with serial port (not complete because i don't have enough technology) -A shooting game: I create the "real" gun hardware using the game port and a game to shoot using VB + DirectX (a Nintendo duck's game) -A Telephone Control: It indicates all calls, with the number called, duration & cost. It uses a PIC microcontroller, the serial port and in VB, Databases. -A big project for the school: I and three friend maked a plotter (Controlled by VB) to make electronic PCB (Printed Circuit Board). We do it in about six month and we desing all the electronics, all Visual Basic Program and all the mecanical struct. We use stepper motors, LCD, a AC Motor, optional serial or parralel com and a big algorithm for VB to import the PCB files from Protel 98 and send it to the Hardware. Since i'm in the school (year 2000) i studied Borland C++; I learn a lot of techniques like: -Files -Stacks -Structs -Pointers -Recursion -Buble Sort -Graphical User Interface -Litle of 3D -and more Also you can view an example of the kind of how i work at: http://www.planet-source-code.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?txtCodeId=44040&lngWId=1 This link is a Visual Guide (or tutorial) that show how to use Databases in Visual Basic. It should show my kind of work. Note that there is a photoscreen (with a litle FX) every page, there is Steps (this means organization) and the text format is designed that it can be read clearly and don't make a boring file. The example in VB as you can see in the photoscreen in this site is separated in three steps to be clearly.
