Resume:
//** Please forgive this first try at posting a resume online...
As many of my coworkers would say, 'I have a sick fetish for and ability with electronics...'. For the past 10 years I have worked mostly as a component/board level technician specializing in repairs and customizing of circuits. On many occasions I have created custom devices and software to meet specific needs for my current employer NCR and others. Over the years I have taken many courses to enhance my abilities and to help me move into a R&D position. I have also ran my own computer business for 2 years.
All of my experience in the field and training allows me to be very confident in the quality of work that I do. Knowing and seeing what people do to and with software and hardware in the field means that I can build dependable apllications that work for all levels of skill in any situation.
Being an electronics technician I have also had much experience with hardware interfaces. Because the field that I work in is so diverse we often can not obtain suitable test gear. This means that often I must design hardware to diagnose the equipment and software to monitor and run my custome hardware. This is always rewarding work as I enjoy the challenge of creating something new that other people will use.
At NCR I have had the oportunity to work on several database projects. The databases must work on our intranet, record levels and usages of 34,000+ parts, automatically reorder parts on a min/max level, track serial numbers and locations of equipment across the province and track the techs who repaired the equipment and the ones in the field. This was a daunting task that I learned a great deal from.
On a personal level I am a personable, hardworking person who enjoys completing a challenge. When I manage to extract myself from my work I enjoy fly-fishing, gold panning and working on one of my many recreational projects.
I look forward to putting my many talents to work for you.
