• Currently working on a SSL protocol implementation for embedded systems
• Developed DEBIT applications on hand-held EFT/POS devices, for ISO's connecting to different switches. Major hosts include DataWest, CGI, Global.
• The Electronic Financial Transaction (EFT) devices have a 16x4 character matrix display, an inbuilt modem, card swipe, smart card interface, printer & keypad. It supports hardware encryption of card data and pin.
• The development platform is C.
• Worked on two Loyalty applications (CREDITZ and GiveX).
• GiveX cards were Magnetic Stripe with relevant information in Track2
  CREDITZ uses Smart Cards to store loyalty points and can be accumulated/redeemed offline. The CREDITZ application runs as a value added service to the debit/credit applications, and after the End of Day Debit/Credit transaction, the CREDITZ points are uploaded to the CREDITZ Central Server.
• Developed a C++ Client-Server application to allow EFT terminals in various states/provinces to connect to a central Host, over the Internet
• A C++ application to download Item information from 8 different sites using HTTP and display these items in a window after formatting.

• Developed a faculty appraisal/feedback package to receive student feedback.

• Was developed using C and an encrypted flat file was used to store the data, the structure being almost similar to FoxPro databases (dbf)

• Used the NetWare OS to handle inputs from the entire class simultaneously. The app logged off the current login, logged in to a secure feedback login, accepted the feedback, stored the data and logged the user out.

• The team constituted of 1 programmer (me)

• Designed and developed an employee payroll/attendance and student attendance package which was implemented at the Andheri (w) and Andheri (E) branches of Aptech Computer Ltd.

• Platforms used were VB and Access.

• The organization purchased and deployed 6 bar-code readers for use with the s/w for tracking employee and student patterns over a period of time.

• Extensive MIS reports were part of the package.

• The package was eventually ported to ASP/SQL Server to run on our intranet. Additional modules included online exams, batch scheduling and progress tracking. The appraisal/feedback module was re-coded in ASP.

• The team constituted 3 programmers and 1 Database/Network expert.

• Designed a site for students to upload their projects and feedback. Also provided a download page that featured my best apps in C, C++, VC++, Visual Basic and Java. A search facility was also provided.

• Platform was ASP on IIS 3.0, 2 COM components (developed in VB 5.0) and Microsoft Access. (SQL/Server was considered but Access proved sufficient due to the limited access provided to the site).

• The site was password protected
