Description:
I am looking to have the following program completed. It is a program that creates a dip chart for a horizontal tank with flat heads. Clients should be able to surf to my website type in their tank dimensions and a dip chart should be created in a seperate window that can then be saved or printed.
I have attached the start to this program as a .aspx file. It has two problems. One I do not know if the vb programing language supports "cos" & "sin". The other problem is that I do not know how to open another window and display the text.
I have also attached a copy of the first page of a dipchart to show you the printing format we would like. I have also included a copy of the spread sheet we currently use to make this dipchart.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
asp.net visual basic.net
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:

I have this fully functional on a IIS server here. It's done in server side Jscript rather than VB because I know the language inside out, and it was a 'quick' job to get this in a form useable for you.
As I have it running now it's all one asp page that you can drop into the server, and it's 'ready to go'. The main form loads where you can input the basic parameters of your tanks. Its currently set to take
a) A location name for the top of the generated table (create one personalized to each client). The sample says 'Test Location' there. b) Tank diameter in either metric or standard units. c) Tank length in either metric or standard units. d) Dipstick calibration (inches or centimeters) e) Tank Orientation (horizontal/vertical).
When the form is posted, the resulting page comes up in a fresh browser window, and is 'printer friendly'. I have attached a copy of the output in the zip. the form is ready for you to insert company specific branding information (logos whatever) in the final result (or i can prep that to your liking). The same asp script produced both of the pages you see in the zip, the first one is the asp called with no params (initial load), and the second is the output in a separate browser window when the first one is posted.
After generating the table, you can modify it by simply changing the parameters in the initial input form (still on screen) and re-submit, the printer friendly version will be updated within the window it already occupies. This variation pretty much covers all the needs in the 'real world', it'll handle dipsticks in inches or cm, generating appropriate tables, as well as tanks in horizontal or vertical orientation.
It would be a relatively strait forward job to expand this for handling tanks that are not level, by simply putting in the amount of off level, and teh location within the length for the dipping point. It would also be fairly strait forward to accomodate multiple interconnected tanks, that are not all at the exact same level, so dipping one gets a proper reading for the entire tank farm (assuming interconnected tanks). Not sure if that's worth the effort, dont know how many farms you have out there in that type of configuration.
Rac wont allow me to post contact information in this because it's a trivial small project. Accept the bid and my contact informatin will be released, I'll give you an url to try it out, and we can discuss any small changes you will need.
