I'm trying to use custom cursors in VB and have run into a roadblock. This will be the easiest money someone will make because I can't see it even though its right in front of me.
here is the situation:
I create a picturebox object. In the properties of that control I set MouseIcon and MousePoint object. This means that when it runs the cursor changes to the desired cursor while it is over the picture box. This is exactly what I want.
However, within the picture box I want to change the cursor to something else during a mousedown/mouseup cycle to indicate something is being dragged. Nothing is really being dragged, its not OLE; the program will just do things in the background and I want the new cursor to place the default.
However, it doesn't work. When I click on the mouse inside the control it doesn't change.
I've included the source of the project, its tiny.
You should be able to demonstrate your fix by modifying the project that does what I'm trying to do. I can then pay to see your changes.
