Description:
We have modified a universal remote control device so that it will play/pause a DVD/VCR/CD player in response to a circuit open/close signal. Some of the equipment we connect to has a connector that provides this signal, but other systems do not. However, their provide Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) 0/1 to another application. I need a super simple application that will accept the 0/1 from the DDE and wiggle a serial port status line or parallel port line high/low.
To get this simple device interface done, we can design it to respond to 0/1 in cell A1 of an Excel spreadsheet. "0" will mean low value on a parallel port status line, and non-zero will mean a high value on that same line. We should allow for simple changes to the following:
DDE Service : EXCEL DDE Topic : Book1:Sheet1 DDE Item : R1C1
So that we can reference another service, topic, and item later, thereby interfacing with the target application.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Resulting program will run in windows 9x environment.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Nov 15, 2002 EDT

Dear sir,
Please provide further info about the DDE (0/1) command syntax, a doc snippet or so. From there, your super simple application development will be pretty straight.
Best regards,
DEN! |
