ISP Portal :Vista cellular. Team work. My role, using PHP, included:
- Constructing an e-card system, banner rotator, and events calendar.
- Writing code that processes XML news articles fetched from AFP via FTP and transforming them into a format compatible with our site. This included inserting the texts in to the database, and on-the-fly programmatic editing of pictures.
- Processing tab separated weather forecast data and dynamically displaying the correct information when the weather page is requested.
Financial computations generator: Computerization of the calculation processes of loan schemes and schedules. I employed various techniques, such as binary search.
3D TicTacToe Artificial Intelligence Game: 4 layers of 4 rows by 4 columns. Similar to the ordinary naughts and crosses game. The goal is for either player to win by getting a line of 4 markers in any direction in 3D. The computer plays almost flawlessly against strong human competition. I used the minimax strategy, recursive backtracking algorithms, and alpha beta pruning.
Property advertising (1) http://www.homelux.co.zw and http:www.dbt.co.zw: Has a pure HTML interface that is generated dynamically in PHP. Search results can be paged through. Adverts are inserted online, via the site's backoffice, and the associated pictures are programmatically edited to a workable size and format, and sharpened. Automatic updating (i.e. new adverts) by email is fully supported.
Property advertising (2) www.realestate.co.zw: Similar to the above, but coded in Java Using the MVC architecture (JavaBeans, JSP, servlets)

Now where is that number 11 button...
Murph and I are now well on our well way on establishing a long business relationship. He is my official webmaster and any technical situations that may arise or any other ideas that pop out of my head, he performs flawlessly and tirelessly (sorry about keeping you up late at night Murph)...Although we have a 7 hour difference in time zones, he patiently contacts me via IM's at my convenience, not his. We chat about the progress of the site, I throw him an idea, and he evaluates it from a coder's perspective and gives me his candid opinion. I can truly say I trust this opinion. One of the best parts that I have to give credit to Murph for is I am NOW getting praise for the quality of 'my' site by my viewers. I might be the 'PR' man that speaks with my members but Murphree is the one behind the scenes making it happen. Thanks again Murph. By the way, I have another private auction for you to attend to :)
For all of you looking for a coder that IS there for you AFTER the sell, Murphree is the guy for you.

Murphree was easy to communicate with, fast and professional. What can I say. This is my first exposure on dealing with a coder and Murphree just blew my mind. I have absolutely NO experience in coding myself so when I asked for help here at Rent-A-Coder, I lucked out finding Murphree on my first try. He found ways of translating plain English into program code. I had a vision (not having a CLUE how to develop it) and Murphree made it happen. I don't know if I can leave the website address on this remark but I have allowed Murphree to put it in his portfolio. Although he did this for an EXTREMELY low price (sorry about that Murphree, I'll make it up to you in future projects), he patiently took the project step by step and, in my opinion, developed a product that should have cost me thousands. If you look at his portfolio you'll agree. The address starts with www.share ... (you'll understand what I mean)... I have tested the site (and stress tested it) and have found no errors, only new cosmetic ideas that I just dreamt up AND after paying Murphree, he is still there taking care of whatever I need. If you want a competent coder that you can also trust (we had to play around with my Paypal account, which had my personal funds in it so that he could set my site up with automatic Paypal feature) and true to his word, he didn't run off with a penny and in fact made sure all of my money was back in there once he was done testing the system. How can you rate integrity like that? Unfortunately, 10 is the highest rating. There should be another rating for how you correspond with the individual not just the end product. He has taking one on one service to a new level. Thankyou Murphree... You honestly have a customer/partner/friend for life. |
