I just want to find out if it's capable of processing server-side scripts, or if you need to change/upgrade to a different host. Is your web server capable of running ASP or any other server-side technology such as JSP, PHP or ColdFusion? I took a peep at your web provider, freenetname.co.uk. It appears that it does not have any support for server-side scripts. The next best thing would be to use an htaccess and htpasswd file. These files will protect entire directories on your site. If interested, please ask Freenetname if they support htaccess and htpasswd, and kindly get back to me.
