Thanks for all the good details in your project description. I can get this job done in short order.
In general, I'm familer with the sendmail configuration requirements to accept email for all addresses in a domain and route them to a single email box. Additionally I know how to configure a delivery agent to handle this mail that can do the processing. In particular, a Perl script can parse the email and insert into the database. There is a Perl module available for MIME based email parsing that can make handling the attachements easy and reliable. Of course Perl can talk to MySQL.
My bid is for a turnkey solution including: 1. Configuration of sendmail and a custom delivery agent written in Perl. 2. Install/configure of MySQL (if needed). 3. Documentation of install procedures and steps for adding additional domains. 4. Testing of system to verify proper operation. 5. One month of technical support on the system.
I'm new to Rent-A-Coder but if you take a look at my resume you'll see that I've been doing web development and network engineering for over a decade. My company Reliable Penguin is affiliated with MySQL and we have great experience with this software and Linux in general.
My bid may not be the lowest but I can guarantee that we will return the greatest value for your investment.
I look forward to an opportunity to work with you.
