Project is the development of a web site for nannies and aupairs (see www.4nannies.com, enannysource.com and www.greataupair.com for examples). Web site must suppor/include: 1. Registration of nanny and aupair candidates, gathering all relevant information regarding experience, education, certifications, availability, expected compensation, etc.. 2. Registration of families, gathering all revelvant information regarding needs, children, dates, etc.. 3. Hiding of data on a field by field basis unless the viewer is an authorized (i.e. paying) customer. 4. Automatic hiding/expiration of dormant profiles WITHOUT deleting them. 5. Searching on both the nanny/aupair and family sides with all relevant search fields - age, sex, experience, number of kids, geographic location, etc.. 6. Importation of photos - including a resizing routine to convert all images to a reasonable file size. Should also auto-create thumbnails to be displayed in search results. Should provide a appropiate filler if no photos are imported. 7. A simple to navigate user interface. 8. Linking to an authorize.net account for billing purposes (we already have working code that can be provided as an example). 9. Appropriate structure to add on-line testing in Phase 2. 10. Appropriate structure to add background checks in Phase 2. 11. Ability to accept messages from logged-in (and authorized) users and forward those e-mail messages (SMTP host to be defined as a variable). Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. 4) Complete documentation of the file structure, variables and links 5) Basic graphical content is expected, not just web structure Platform: The anticipated server platform is Microsoft IIS running on Windows 2000 Server with a Microsoft SQL 2000 database engine. A test/development platform will be made available on our DMZ. The resulting web site is expected to display and run properly using all major browsers (including AOL, IE, Netscape) on all major platforms (indlucing Windows, MAC, Linux). Resolution of site should properly be viewed on 800x600 and above without undue amounts of scrolling. NOTE: We currently envision the code being developed as ASP (and prefer VB un der ASP as we understand it better). Also, while Flash and motion video are neat, a clean look and robust functionality are far more important than fancy graphics - people come to web sites for information, not entertainment.
