Description:
I need you to optimize the inner loop of functions that blends two images with the alphavalue of the source image. The funtions are for the bitdepths 16(555or565), 24(888) and 32Bit (0888).
You may use inline assembly code for the intel pentium III prozessor or you may use lookuptables, mmx code or any other proper method.
The outcome of your work should be a stable and faster code than the orginal c functions.
You will receive a complete msvc6 testproject.
Thanks
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Complete copyrights to all work purchased.

Hello again,
It just so happens that Im an expert at graphics coding, using optimized assembler and MMX code, so I would do a great job of this for you. I always try to squeeze out the last clock cycles I possibly can! It goes back to the days I programmed on the Amiga, you really needed every clock cycle back then!
If you would like an example of my work, I can easily send one to you, I am currently working on winamp style effects, which uses MMX code.
I know this is for an opensource library, so if the bid is too high, we can negotiate on it.
Thanks, Martin

Hi,
I thought you might like to have a look at this project Im working on. I know its beyond what you need, but it shows what Im capable of coding graphics, or maybe I just like showing off! :p
Anyway, I will provide very fast optimized code for alpha blending. I can code both MMX and non MMX functions, as some processors do not support MMX (but almost all modern CPUs nowadays do).
The 16bit code (565 and 555) will be done within a week, the 24 and 32 bit probably less than a week.
Waiting for your reply, Martin
