Description:
Our current website, aerealty.com, designed and published by me ( a complete novice )is in need of a complete upgrade. While the site is functional, it lacks the appearance and appeal that I feel a professional web designer could provide. I have viewed with envy some other competetive sites and would like to improve it's overall appearance and asthetics. Also, I would like appropriate metatags and other devices implemented that would increase the ranking in the various search engines so the site would get more exposure. The forms and database functionality could also be improved. I am open to all suggestions. Bids should be for a complete site renovation. Bidders should be willing to work with a novice and be infinetly patient.
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

Current site was developed using frontpage and My compter is running windows xp professional os.

Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Good Morning,
I took a quick tour of your site this morning - first, let me say that, as a “novice” you`ve done a great job of pulling all the various elements together to make your site work!
Is the site with the forms (mortgage101.com) your site or someone else`s? It`s possible to recreate the calculators functionality on your own site if desired - and this is often better as the user isn`t presented with a completely different website. The only calculator I`m uncertain of is the Pre-Qualification one - I guess I`m assuming this links to a financial institution; if not, it won`t be a problem; if it is, we`ll need to work out the communication details.
The best way to start is to provide a list of links of other sites you “envy” so that I can get a clear picture of what you like. We can then plan and implement the new design elements together, all the while keeping the current site in place.
Is your site presently hosted on a Windows or Unix server? Can you provide some additional detail about the DB functionality you mentioned? A couple of other thoughts - rather than point people away from your site to local builders, you might want to consider having a featured listing page or pages displaying pictures of models, floor plans etc. and then pointing the people to the appropriate builder. This sort of technique keeps them at your site and they`ll remember they saw it first there!
I think I win the award for “infinite patience” with all my clients - please take a moment and review their comments regarding my performance on their projects.
