Description:
Basically I'm creating an on-line banking computerised system. The system will be implemented in such a way it has to use java as the prime programming language along with html for the web page designing. There has to be a database in MySql which is connected to the system via JDBC. The system should have a friendly user-interface with a proffesional feel. It has to allow customers over the internet to open bank accounts, check balance,print balance, carry out money transfers, allow interst to be credited into the account (to make to system more real), arrange overdrafts, arrange credit limit, high security features, etc... So basically, I want a system which will be like some of the high street branches i.e Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds TSB.The system doesn't have to be highly as sophisticated as the current internet banks, but at a high class university degree project. Could you please get back to me as soon as possible as time is of the essence. I have get the project completed by the 17th april 2003, so it is essential that the whole process is carried out efficiently and effectively. It needs to have good use of graphics and animation. p.s the system has to run on windows 2000 NT using java jdk 1.2/2 with emacs.
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:

Java jdk 1.2/2 using emacs
Will be using Java language , JSP, MySql for databases, HTML, JDBC for connectivity.

Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.

hi,
I perfectly understand what you need. I know how banks work and I use often online-banking services.
I am still not certain whether the web interface will be coded as an applet or as java server pages.
I can do separate both or combinated.
in any case, I will use my imagination and design skills to make sure you get what you want.
I plan to work more than a week to your project, each day 5 to 8 hours. anyway work efficiency is very important, but I can assure you I am very experienced and I won't waste time researching and stuff.
in the html part, there will also be a help page area, giving instructions about all the facilities the system provides and how a user should use them.
it should take me hours to explain all the facilities I intend to code and I risk to forget some, so basically :
- there will be a portal(login/logout/register)
- an admin which will have unlimited $$$ so he will transfer funds to regular clients so the system can work.
- more types of accounts(debit/ credit/ ...)
- user menu : transfer, check balance, request credit limit modifications : will be approved by admin
- admin also will have a account types manager where he can set up new account types with own limits, rates, ...
and so on, just imagine what can be done in a full week of work.
if jsp, the code will be based 90% on java classes and
not so much effective jsp.
applet will be 100% java classes.
all the code will be commented and kept as simple as possible.
