Description:
Need working samples for interfaces written in Visual Basic 6.0 with the Active Directory or Windows NT domain.
Deliverables: I need three functions:
1. GetActiveDirectoryUsers(strDomainName) return string Function should return a list of users in the domain with commonly used properties like userid, name etc. Each user row should be separated by vbCRLF. Each property should be delimited by a tab.
2. Function GetUserProperty(strDomain, strUser, strProperty) return variant Sample function should be able to return Name, Account Expiration Date, email address.
3. Sub SetUserProperty (strDomain, strUser, strProperty, PropertyValue as variant) The procedure should set the desired property. If you write an error handler in the procedure, on error raise a usre defined error with a meaningful error message.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

I can produce the sample functions you want in VB 6. All testing can be done on my site, I'm running an Active Directory domain.
Six months ago, I had to write code to allow a web server (IIS with ASP) to verify users and create new users, so I'm very familiar with Active Directory. |
