Description:
This is for a high school project so it should be very simple. I have done some of it but it is proving to be a little difficult for me. I dont think what I have done is correct so I will need someone to design the system from scratch. I can supply the database (which is done in Access) and a kind of site map of how I want each page done.
Overview: A simple system that can be used by a shop to keep track of and update dvd titles in stock. It should also be able to update the database once an item is purchased.
The system is to be able to be deployed on any stand alone computer, so therefore it is preferable not to be done online.
Main Functions:
* Give two levels of access: Managerial and General Staff.
* Staff should only be able to complete sales transactions and to do Stock Enquiries.
* Managerial Staff have to be able to do the above plus they must be able to Update Products (ie add/remove), Update Stock and also to edit Staff Details.
* Once stock of any title falls below a certain amount, system must be able to bring up a pop-up or something notifying the user that a certain item needs reordering with the option of printing out an order form (or something along these lines...)
As I said this is only meant for a high school project so it shouldnt be too time consuming.
It must be well commented and documented (ie how each aspect of the system is done)

Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Should be able to run under Windows XP.
I would prefer it if it was done in Frontpage and Access using ASP.
I also have no objections if it was done just in Access or even Excel as it would be easier to deploy on a standalone machine.

Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.

It is pretty straight forward and since you want it to be deployed on a standalone machine, I would like to build you a Visual Basic executable file with an MS Access backend and the only requirements is that the .exe and the database would need to be in the same folder.
