Description:
What I need is a label creator program like a publisher where I can load images from file onto the working canvas, move the images around, resize them and overlay the images as well. It also needs to save the project to file and when loaded back in, be able to modify all of the objects still and not save it as one image file at the end.

It also needs to print the content as labels with given label sizes, margines, etc.

It MUST support TIFF images. Through research the controls on LeadTools may help with this for the editing but not sure. Let me know if and what controls you plan to use for this. the TIFF images loaded in are 300 pixels/inch. I don't want to use any other format of images - just the TIFF at this resolution.

Other features can be worked out such as grids, rulers, etc.

If you want to see exactly what I want, I want to do what the Avery DesignPro 4.0 which uses LEADTOOLS for this program. I also need text added to the project when they create the label.

DO NOT BID for this if you have not done something like this before or not have the resources such as the controls to do it. MUST BE IN VB 6.0!

Thank you.

Hello Roger,

It seems from your RAC details that you are a key buyer and both reliable and professional. I would therefore like to provide the Tiff label creator program you need. Having attempted various different approaches (including writing specific Tiff byte-wise loading routines, dlls, ocxs etc) I believe I have found an acceptable method of managing the Tiff file format.

Registration/licensing of controls, such as those from LeadTools, can be rather costly (approx. $1800) and outside my budget.

As you know Tiff files are not supported by VB, however the technique I have adopted uses a third party (freeware) .exe to convert the images from Tiff to a VB format and then in theory back to Tiff again. This way the original Tiff images can be left intact (if required) and the label project can be saved in a zero-loss compressed format. As a project, all the individual objects will be editable even after saving.

Please take a look at the demo I have provided and see if it is in the right ballpark. Anything that you don&'t like can, of course, be changed if you accept my bid.

I hope the quick mock-up is up to your standards and I imagine that $100+ would be an acceptable fee (although I am option to discussion).

Let me know if you are interested or have any questions, thank you for your time,

Regards,
StarChaser

Hello again.

Since my last demo submission I have made some changes and improvements. The demo now has rulers, copy/paste, delete and zoom. It can also save/load the current project.

Please contact me if you are interested.

Regards
StarChaser

PS: I have adjusted my bid amount to suit the complexity of this project
