Description:
We require a Delphi 7 program that will allow the user to open an HTML page, a list of forms found on the page will be shown in a tree view. When the user clicks on a form it should show an object inspector and allow them to edit properties for that item (we have an object inspector control that is easy to use).
Clicking on the form item will show/allow edititing of its properies (i.e. Name, Method, Action, OnSubmit event etc)
By dropping down the form branches, the user will see a list of fields (<Input type=... <select ... and so on).
We have already written a number of data entry / validation functions, e.g. an OnKey event that prevents the user from typing letters into a numerical field.
Therefore, for each field we would like the user to be able to choose properties such as:
Type: Text, Numeric, Date, DateTime, Time, Combo, Radio, Checkbox
An example of properties we would require are: Minimum Length (Text) Maximum Length (Text) All Upper Case / All Lower Case / Normal (Text) Minimum Value (Numeric) Maximum Length (Numeric) Decimal Places (Numeric) Allow Empty Field (all) Border Style Font Custom error message if constraint violated. (e.g. This field must be at least 5 characters and no more than 20)
We want as many options as is feasible.
We have a function that changes the colour of the field to highlight it on entry, and then puts it back on exit. Therefore, for each field we would like the user to be able to choose the two colours, with a "set all fields to this color" option.
For buttons, the user should be able to select color, font color, width etc.
For Combo boxes/Radio buttons etc, it should allow the user to edit the choices / default.
When it rebuilds the HTML page, it should populate the appropriate events for the parameters selected, and build an OnSubmit function that will call the functions to perform the validation, and return the user to the first offending field if there is a problem.
After rebuilding, if the user then reloads the page back into the program, then it should recognise the parameters and populate the object inspector accordingly.
What would also be nice (if possible) would be an option for the form to build an ASP/PHP (user selects) script that would email the fields to a chosen address. Ideally it would support a choice of popular email components such as ASPMail etc. Please mention whether your bid would include or exclude this feature.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Delphi 7
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:

Special Conditions / Other:
User should have good knowledge of HTML, Delphi 7 and Javascript, and be able to start the project asap.
Often we receive lots of good bids, and we end up picking one at random. We don't usually have time to contact all the non-succeeding bidders, so please don't take it personally!
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Hi!
You already know my Delphi skills (I've worked on Permissions Editor prject).
First of all, I'd like to get more info about project, if you don't mind. As for now it seems too big (not complex, but large) to cost $150, but maybe I've missed something; so I'd like to clarify task.
Could you, please, specify what components you already have and complete list of features to be implemented? Also, I'd like to know what level of error handling do you need while parsing HTML form: can I assume it's correct? I'd like to have this info to estimate time and fee quite precisely.
Thank you, Alexey. |
