Hi,
Im very interested in working on this for you. Im very familiar with sound editing programs, I use Sound Forge all the time.
I would like to know if you require any more features than just viewing the data, like saving portions or applying a transformation on the data, or would you be adding these yourself later?
Also, where would the data come from, I would guess it would be a raw data file with 8 bit values in it?
I dont know if you would want this, but I can antialias the display to make it look better and make it easier to see what the data represents. I can give you more details on this if you like, but I have implemented this a long time ago in Pascal. Basically a windowed sinc function is used to get samples inbetween the original samples, so the true peaks can be plotted, and it is smooth when zoomed into full.
By the way, Im very familiar with MSVC++ 6.0 and MFC, so I wouldn't have any problems doing it in this environment.
If you are interested, give me a reply and I will place an appropriate bid.
Thanks,
Martin.
