Description:
Hi there
We need someone to create some javascript and generic documentation to help us embed a web-based application into 3rd party external websites. It will work in the following way:
The client will open up their own webpage and insert some javascript code. When their page is accessed, the javascript will go to a URL on our server (which is a PHP script) and insert the output. We then need (and I think this is the tricky part) to be able to let the user click on a link or hit a submit button which will refresh the page, but grab different data from the PHP script. As an example, take a newsletter module which has three pages:
1) List view of articles 2) Detailed view of article 3) Send article to a friend page (submit form)
The first page that would be accessed would the list of articles grabbed directly using the PHP script. Clicking on an article link would refresh the clients page, but this time it would grab the detailed information from the article. and so on... I would also like to know if we need to change anything at the PHP-end for us to achieve this
Firstly, I would like to hear from people who have done something like this and can demonstrate it. Secondly I want a generic script and documentation that will help us embed this functionality into any of our modules. I would also be interested in any suggestions for a solution that does this that I may not have thought about. This is an initial small project, but there could be a larger one in creating javascripts for all of our modules.
Any questions, please ask.
I also don't want to hear from someone just saying "we can do the work" - I would like some kind of dialog first to explain why we should choose you based on similar work or good javascript.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Documentation which will easily guide us through setting up similar functionality on other php scripts
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
all current browsers (if possible)
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:

If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Hi GiantStep
I've never done this as a project... but I came up with a solution right now ;) (which would work very well)
I have tested it and would be happy to set it up on a webserver as a demonstration if you'd like to.
Basically... I'd just include a script located on your server which is dynamically generated... it's not very difficult to do. I believe this would just require some minor modifications to the list-script. Although I can't tell till I've seen your newsletter module.
Your clients would then paste a single line into their html document.
There is one problem however ;) ...... the deadline is a bit short. I can guarantee to have this done within a week, although I don't believe it'd take that long either... (assuming that's ok)
