Good morning,
My name is John Morgan and I have been an Application Developer for almost 10 years primarily spent working for a Fortune 500 financial organization.
I have read your proposal and am very interested in working with you on this project. During my career I have had the opportunity to work with many different technologies, but the majority of my work has involved Visual Basic, database design and development and MS Office automation with VBA.
I am very interested in seeing the sample output file you mentioned in your proposal. Also, because I know selecting someone is difficult, I encourage you to view my RAC resume and rating to get a better idea of the types of projects I have worked on as well as the quality of work I provide.
As far as a bid, if you are interested in having me do it, I am sure we can work something out once the formalities are handled. I have attached some documentation for an application I recently built in MS Access. I can also provide you with sample code for VBA work in Excel if you would like as well. Please let me know if you have any questions for me and I will be looking for your sample text file.
I am ready to begin immediately and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hello,
I have looked over the output file you provided me and it looks pretty straight forward, but what I would need to know is how you would like to 'start' the process each day. I know you want to load the data to Excel and that will not be a problem, but I need to know how you want the system to work?
When are you expecting to have a final decision on the coder? Also, have you narrowed it down to a certain number of coders? I haven't made a bid yet and was wondering what were you hoping to pay for this project and what would you say is the average bid? I would really like to work with you on this project and want to be sure my bid is reasonable. Once you respond, I will be sure to send you a bid shortly after that.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
John |
