Description:
Hi to all coders who might be interested in this project., I need a script (written in php or perl) that can take a list of domains and check link popularity in major search engines. the domain name would be entered in a list such as:
yourname.com
name.com
your.com
I would hopefully want this then to create results like this
yourname.com Google:25 ATW:20 Lycos:20 etc etc
This script can be made to email me the results, or post them on another page, that is entirely up to the coder. The coder would also have to upload the script to my server I will provide FTP details., I would want the winning coder to have good ideas of his/her own that would enhance this script. This script would have to be able to check link popularity up to 100 names at a time., Please respond with questions etc.

Hi Dennis,
I can make the script. I will write it in Perl and should complete it in a week. I did some research and already have a part of the work done.
The final script will be able to check as many domains as you type in. I could make it store a list of the domains, so that it's easier to do periodic checks. I could also make it use a template for the output.
It will support all major search engines. To add another one it won't be necessary for the source code to be changed (unless it uses a too different from the current technology). If a search engine changes its layout or just the code and this affects the script's operation I will make all necessary modifications to it for free. If you later want another search engine added to it, I will also do this for free.
