Hello,
I would like to complete this project for you. What I intend to do: One form with three command buttons:
1. Assign [24] jobs to [3] 'eligible volunteers for one selected day.
2. Assign [24] jobs to [3] 'eligible volunteers for all days in current year.
3. Assign [24] jobs to [3] 'eligible volunteers for next year.
You will be able to change [24] and [3] to whatever numbers you want.
You will also be able to include/ignore the weekends and public holidays when assigning the jobs.
I am currently testing and debugging the above routines and I hope to give you a working sample by Monday.
I'll also provide you with the notification letter and volunteer list and even more.
Thank you
Daniel Vlas |

Hello,
Please find attached a sample that I think makes what you need. I made it in Access 97 and converted it to Access 2000.
You can customize the number of assignments per day, maximum number of volunteer assignments per year, the interval in days between two assignments.
There is a 'uniform' check box on the startup form. If it is unchecked, the assignments are made absolutely randomly, but there is a chance that some of volunteers get no assignments while others get two or three. If it is checked, the assignment is made by taking the volunteers that have less assignments. because of this sorting, the procedure is slower in this mode. Please give it a try, as I think it is self explanatory.
If you choose me for this project, I will make the program fully functional and will provide you with free support and debbuging for as long as it takes.
Best regards,
Daniel Vlas |
