Description:
Coding Specs:
2 programs communicating by serial port(RS232).
Program A generate a string of data bits and send to program B through RS232.
Program B receives data from RS232.
Program B filters out the data bits.
Filtered data bits are saved into database.
Program B displays filtered data bits into line graph and report on the data bits received.
Report in program B is also able to print out.
Assigned different user login in program B - administrator and normal user
Normal user could not access setting of comm port properties but administrator can
GUI Specs:
Program B is done. But enhancement is needed to meet the coding specs.
Program A has to be developed from scratch.
Program B GUI has to be user friendly and eye catching. Creativity i leave it to you.
Program A has to be simple and user friendly.
This program must be developed using Visual Basic and Microsoft Access for the database.
Deliverables: i need to develop this quick.
i need to show to my project supervisor the communcation of the 2 programs by end of this week(3rd August) - 1st draft
The final part you have to complete it by 19 August.
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.

Although this is my first project on RentACoder I do specialise in Serial Comms and database access (SQL, Oracle mainly but Access will be no problem).
I've had a look at the code you attached and can see the functionality of Program B, although at the moment it just seems to print to the immediate debug window the data received and I guess you need it sending to the Access DB ?? and displayed on the chart ??.
Program A should be fairly simple to code and I'm sure we can show you the comms working before 3rd Aug. Equally the modifications to Program B (GUI) should be fairly simple now I understand the code.
