Flexible Web Grid

Description:
I need a web grid written in Javascript/VBScript for IE 5+ that allows the user to visually rearrange columns, drag the edge of the column to change width, and have a 3 state "ordering" button on each column (ascending, descending or default). Just like a desktop application grid.
Text should automatically wrap onto next line.
The grid should be flexible enough to allow any number of columns / rows, and should be easily configurable.
I do have source code of an app that does more or less what I'm asking, but it is quite complex to follow.
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
IE5+
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:

If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

For IE5+, this could be done by defining the grid cells as DIV elements and using Javascript to manipulate their size and position in reponse to mouse events such as clicking sort buttons or dragging column edges (this approach should work equally well in Netscape 6).
Number of rows and columns can be flexible, although there is presumably some practical limit on the minimum size of a cell if it is to contain readable text?
My $150 bid is for developing the HTML, CSS and Javascript to display and manipulate the grid. For the complete ASP page, including VBscript to obtain the source data (from a database?), it would be $200.

John, Thanks for your message. Yes, those modifications would be a bit more complex but still feasible.
I think the pop-up window is probably the neatest way of handling the include/exclude function, but changing the sort order could possibly be done by clicking column heads in the main window (as per Outlook).
My revised bid is $200 for just the 'front-end' processing or $300 including the 'back end' data retrieval.
Kind regards, Tony Nunn |
