Description:
I am looking for software to enable me to have 5 web cams being viewed at the same time on a web site with say 50 users being able to text message and an unlimited number of non-interactive viewers. This service should allow for viewing and/or downloading of recorded slots. The software should be able to be controlled by me on my web site through a link, I should be able allow selected users the right to login as a cam user and/or a chat user as well as only allowing (in addition to the other 55) other unlimited logged in users for general viewing of the site. This needs to be without the users having to download special software if at all possible and if not, then download the once. Although i have tried to be specific about the project, obviously the above description may requires further development and all coders who respond will be given the opportunity to requote if the specification is insufficient. The project once undertaken will be a firm commitment on both sides.
EXTRA NOTE ADDED 9th July 2002
With regard to the cameras (5) being viewed on the web site, I did not clarify that voice would be needed with the cameras. The text is for cameras and 50 chat viewers. Please bear in mind the logging in of users.
I have just been advised that I need to clarify the situation further, so here goes. the 5 cams have audio and can text a response to a text box (preferably under the web cam image) with audio going out to the web site for all to hear. The 50 users have text response which goes to all web cam users and is displayed on the main/seperate text box below the web cams but do not have the ability to talk to each other. In the event that the cam users do not have adequate speed then a way of forcing text only would be required. In any event admin must be able to freeze the web cam and or user if required. The whole event should be able to be recorded for viewing/downloading later from the same web site but not at the same time as the live event is occurring. I apologise for any confusion and trust that that this clarifies that part of the requirement.
Deliverables:
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Including any coding required for web server, web client and administration including database setup etc.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
The software should allow for advertising banner/s above the camera view, should allow administration to cut off the transmission. The same should apply to tthe text chat box with an advertisinfg banner above that window. A full description and items required will be provided and agreed upon prior to any purchase for the protection of the coder and myself. I do carryout some coding myself and fully appreciate the fact that the client always wants to improve the package. Any improvements beyond the sucessful project will be paid fro seperately.
Platform:
Preferably able to run under windows 95+ but must be able to be run under windows 98+ and all versions of netscape 5 and above as well as Internet Explorer 5 and above
Special Conditions / Other:
ASAP but within one calendar month of close of tender or as agreed
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
