Description:
I easily know how to do a screen capture in VB and even know how to make .ocx files but what I need is an activex that works on the web page. What I need is a thin bar I can place at the top of my web page in a frame and it has a wide button that says "Capture Screen" and when clicked, it captures the screen and pops up a dialog box prompting where to save the BMP file to and for the file name. Please note: the screen should be captured when the button is clicked, not after entering the file name of where to save it to. It would be even better is the button can be clicked by a hotkey such as the F12 key.
My question is if it is written in VB, does the user need the runtime files loaded on that computer? I need this written in a language where no runtime files are needed so possible C++?
And does this type of file get digitally signed? I will give the company info for this once you are accepted. This control will be used with IE only since it is an activex.
DO NOT BID if you do not already know how to do this. And don't assume you make a regular activex for this - I am sure it has to be written for the web. And if runtime files are needed, do not bid if you use VB. I need this asap so please be fast as well. Any demo and showing how to use it online will speed up accepting your bid.

| Demo attached. It's written in VC++. Depends.gif shows what dll it uses. All are standard DLL comes with IE. To Run Demo: Extract all to a folder. Run 15420.htm. The ActiveX object is not signed. You will see warnings. Just ignored and press 'Yes'. If you still can't see anything, run regocx.bat in the folder and reopen 15420.htm. I also put in online at http://sanpi_x.tripod.com/15420.htm but since it is not signed, you will have to lower the security level of IE to view the page, not recommended. My demo will capture the screen but half of it will filled with black. Currently it can save in BMP only. JPEG is possible to add. Hotkey possible only when IE with that page has the focus, can't run when IE is at the back of other window. |
