Description:
This program must be created in visual basic 6. Here is the required program information:
Norman liked a gamble in life, but the national lottery was only partially satisfying his lust for risk taking. What he needed was a computer program that could fufil his gambling desires whenever he felt the urge, and norman frequently felt the urge!
He decided that the way to do it was to devise a computer program, which he could play. He hit upon the idea of a poker dice game. The idea is to throw six dice and select some or all of the dice with the goal of achieving the best possible poker dice hand. You can determine the precise way that the game is played.
The poker dice hands are:
Ace high A pair Two pair A triple Three of a kind A small run four consecutive dice A large run five consecutive dice A full house Four of a kind Five of a kind
The user (player) must play against the computer and a means of winning and losing determined together with a means of keeping ttrack of how much money the computer and player has after every throw.
The program ought to allow the player to keep playing until all his or her money has been lost or the bank has been broken. As always the game will be biased in favour of the bank, that is if the hands are the same, then the computer wins.
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
You must consider:
software needed - visual basic 6
How it may be broken down into manageable procedures
Information to be processed
Data and variables that need to be used
How information will be input
Processing required
How information will be output - screen or printed copy
Program structures that are necessary (Sequence, repetition, selection)
The events and user interaction that occur while the program is being used.
Different data types must be:
Number (different types)
String
date
Cuuency
Boolean
Events:
Mouse clicks
Key depressions
Mouse cursor moving over an object
The program must have a well laid out, easy to use and attractive user interface.
Use objects such as:
Forms
Buttons
Text boxes
Dialogue boxes
Image boxes
The user must input into the program with controls such as:
Labels
text boxes
Control buttons
Check boxes
Option buttons
Control structures:
Sequence
Selection
Repetition (iteration)
These are implemented by statements such as
If....Then...[Else....]
For....Next
While...do
Specification for program:
Suitable data-entry facilities in your program
Suitable data processing methods in the program including calculations and text manipulation
Use of you prrogram to generate screen or printed reports that meet user needs correctly
A good understanding of programming through an effective modular design and in your imainative use of events, objects and controls
Creation of data-entry facilities that are clear, well-laid out and suitably labelled, correct valiadtion of input data and provision of appropriate user guidance.
Design and implementation of imaginative and customised screen or printed output to provide content and layout that are well matched to user needs.
Also:
To manipulate or process data you will need to use operators. They are:
arithmetic, such as +,-,/,* and ()
relational, such as =,<,>,<=,>=, <>
Logical, such as AND, OR, NOT
To undertake string manipulation you will need to be able to use functions such as:
Len
