Description:
This program should be written in Visual Basic. I will supply the Inventory.mdb. Also I have started on the project so I will also supply what I have. Also I have some additional things to do at the bottom.
In this program, you will locate and change existing records in a database PROGRAMMATICALLY. First you need to establish a connection to the database Inventory.mdb. Define and execute a command to create a recordset of the records that are in the table tblCustomers. Create text boxes to display the fields. Write code to move between the records of the recordset (MoveFirst, MoveLast, MoveNext, MovePrevious). Write code to find and display a record according to Customer Id. Also, the user should be able to edit, delete, and add a record to the database.
Also do these things. First one is a question. Second and Third is asking for code. Ok on the form frmExam there are 10 text boxes that are not part of a control array. You want to prevent the user from entering any characters except from numbers and the backspace character in all the text boxes. What is the best solution to the above problem?
Write the statements to open a recordset named mrstCurrent. Declare the connection and command object variables as necassary. Use the Jet Engine as the provider, connect to the table named tblDemo, and open the recordset such that the client-side cursor is used. Open a keyset type recordset.
Assuming that an instance of the CommonDialog control named cdlOne has been created. Write the code for the cmdOpen_click event procedure that will display an open dialog with an initial directory of C:\ and a filter that will select a Jet database file having the extension .mdb. After setting the necassary properties, display the dialog box and assign the name of the file you selected to the caption of the form frmExam.
