Thank you for this code.  I've been 
working on a similar mechanism and I 
found the problems in my code.  I still 
have one outstanding issue.  Can you 
tell me how to PING via ComputerName 
and get the IP Address that is returned.

Im giving my first steps in VB and i 
encounter a problem that i cant 
resolve.
In Microsoft Access 97
I 
have got a function that gets the 
NtUser now i want to compare that user 
with a field ( USER ) in table ( 
Tb_Permissions ).i now that this is not 
hard the problem is that i dont have 
the experties to do it.

server by Name and return the IP

i think you should add more C++ source 
codes instead of expanding you VB 
library. . C++ and delphi will be the 
languages that will be used the most

In the ever growing world of 
programming languages, we've reached a 
time that Visual Basic is jsut as 
powerful as C++. With the new .NET 
version, VB has been boosted to a 
complete level, it has cross platform 
capabitly by accessing common DLL's. 
Thats right, MAC, PC, Linux, etc will 
all run .NET files with no additional 
hassel of porting them over! Something 
to think about before you try to get 
people to port over to C++
