Description:
Label printing!!!! We use microsoft access for our product labels. When an incoming order arrives we manually print off full sheets of labels (24 per page). This means quite a lot of wasted labels as some items are purchased in small quantities i.e 2 or 3 only meaning 22 or 21 wasted labels. All products have a batch number and the labels can not be used again for future incoming orders. What I need is a visual basic code that will not only allow a specified number of each label be printed but also take the quantities from the incoming order and print out the exact number of labels for each product in one process. i.e 2 items arrive in 20 x lavender oils and 15 x tea tree oil. At the press of a button from form view the system would print out 20 x lavender and 15 x tea tree labels using laser sheets with no wastage. And finally a function to allow us to chose the starting label position for printing. i.e skip first 5 labels.I have checked the microsoft help site and there is a similar code available but it does not have the function of taking the multiple quantities from the current order and so results in each individual label having to be printed one by one if the quantities are different. I understand how to add the procedure to a control i.e on click etc but need the code writing for this procedure. Using Access 2000 windows 98 version 2 Many Thanks Dave Freer

Hello... My name is Ben Etten, a programmer that brings with him 5+ years of Visual Basic experience, and a special interest in integrating Visual Basic code with Microsoft Office products.
I have read your request, and I have had to deal with a very similiar situation for another client of mine who was printing on demand inventory labels, so I understand exactly what is needed. This would not be a hard request for me to finish, and I pride myself in making sure that all of my customers are very satisfied with the end result. I would of course, supply you with the code, and I would like to get this too you before the two week deadline so that you would have time to test it. That way we could both be sure that the product you have in your hands on the deadline is finished completey and you are satisfied.
I have not done any business across this site yet, but I have been consulting my services out for a few years now, and I have a wide range of experience dealing with many different problems. I would like the chance to solve yours. If you do have any questions for me regarding either this project, or my previous experience, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely
Ben Etten |
