Description:
We need an ASP and MS-Access driven web site to display links, based on their category. There needs to be an admin page (password protected, the password can be coded into the ASP page because there will only be one admin.) On the admin page, the user can enter the HTML code for their link, and the text to go with it, and choose a category for the link.
The page the surfer will see then will search all the records, build an alphabetical list of the categories, and display them in a nav bar format in the left column of the page. When the user clicks on one of the categories, the middle section of the page will update to show only the links of that category. The right side of the page will be manually edited to contain other information.
This is essentially to list affiliate programs and links, just by category, if you are familiar with affiliate programs then you should have a good idea what we're trying to accomplish.
Example:
<!-- HTML code starts here for sample-->
Click <a href="http://www.rentacoder.com">here</a> to make a billion dollars!!!
<!-- HTML code ends here for sample-->
There will be 30-50 at least for each category. Each link should have a title also so the admin can easily tell what they are to remove links that are obsolete.
Along with all of this, the links are to be displayed in a webpage in a certain format. Please view the image in the zip file. The page should be 800*600 and the links should be in the white box. Instead of the entire page scrolling to a large, long size, the page should fit in the 800*600 and where the links are, it should be a scrollable area. There should be a navagational structure on the left side based on the different catagories that are in the table.
When the navagation links are clicked, the page should open in the white area. When the links that are listed are clicked they should open in the white area, instead of a whole new page so it looks like they never left the site, key is.. that whole thing will open in a new window..
The navagation links should have the ALT tags as well, ya know.. the name of what they are called.
The website "white space" can be in any language you want, as can most of the site, just remember it has to work on a windows nt/ms access configuration.
The images should also be placed in a folder called images.
Thats it! Thanks a lot for your bid!

Hello sir...
As you said, this job can be accomplished in 2 or 3 hours, plus the time needed for you to be completely satisfied with the resulting ASP page.
I've worked with HTML, ASP & VBScript pages for the last 4 years, with similar projects where you display a list of links, which when clicked, display a list of sublinks corresponding to a category, area, etc. in a different window or frame. All this information is extracted from Access databases via ODBC connections from the ASP web page, which allows you to have a multi-user database (many users consulting or making changes to database at the same time).
If you want to see examples of my work, you just need to ask.
Thanks for your attention and best regards.
