Description:
We are looking for a STL file viewer that can be incorporated into a frame on a website using Internet Explorer 5.0 and up and used independently to view STL or converted STL to a proprietary file format. It would need to be visually appealing such as in the program STL Editor at http://www.fpsols.com/stl_editor.html
In theory, we need 3 items,
1) a web viewer 2) a standalone viewer 3) a creator program that takes STL files and can batch export them into a proprietary format that the viewers can read, but cannot be read by any other program to keep the content secure.
In comparison to STL Editor (above), we would only need the ability to orbit the item within the window. We would like a Medium blue background to all files and a Whiteish gray object color to all files. We would NOT need the xy and 0,10 that show in the STL Editor program (above), nor the bounding box. We would require no toolbars.
Additionally, we would like the viewer program to show somewhere in the window, the file name that it is being viewed.
We would like the ability for the creator program to batch import both Binary and ASCII STL files and output them to a proprietary format so that the STL files are unable to be used for commercial purposes (secure way to share designs that is faster and safer than exchanging CAD files) yet allowing the viewer program to view and rotate them.
Compression to the files is also required so that they can be efficiently exchanged over the Internet. Our average file size for the Binary STL files is 4 Megabytes.
If futher clarification is required, post questions in your initial bid.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP, IE 5.0 and up
