Description:
This is a quick project to enhance VB6 code that generates a web service.
The application exposes a web service that calls functions from a COM object. There is also an aspx page that provides a user interface for this.
The enahncements are described in the attached word document along with all of the code so you can see exactly what needs to be done.
Knowledge of web services in a .net environment would be very helpful on this project. The code was originally written by a guy who now works for Microsoft - so don't expect anything lightweight here!
This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor for many exciting projects involving VB.NET, webservices, SIP, VoIP, MSSQL and many other cool technologies. If you do this project, you'll be familiar enough with this code to bid on the many projects I spec out for some of the developers that I've really found to be outstanding on this site.
You must be available for quick phone calls during the day and via email throughout the day. I can work around a full time job if you have one, but you must check email at least once per day and be available to talk via voice during your non-working hours at your primary place of employment.
If you are working from the US, you must have a valid Work permit or be a US Citizen that gives you the right to accept payment from Paypal.

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

Hi,
I have a large amount of experience in VB, .net and SQL Server
I used to work for a microsoft partner in dublin, ireland and have obtained my MCSD certifications. Please see my resume for details.
I have been programming in .net for about 2 years now. I have written many vb.net/asp.net applications and have implemented web services on numerous occasions.
See my previous projects for some references.
I have a good response time on projects and am available during the day for calls/emails etc.
