Description:
This is a proof of concept project. Once you can show me this can be done there will be a much bigger project to follow....

The program should be written in Appforge/Visual Basic...

I need a program for the palm pilot that stores a list of names...

On the palm it should allow me to add/modify/delete a name...

I also want to be able to do these 2 diffrent types of synchs.... a button for each synch so I can test...

1) When the palm synchs it goes to a web page where it reads names from the DB through XML and those names are now added to the palm after I synch and the new names that I added to the palm are now added to the web page and DB. The key is your going through the frontend.

2) The same exact but you going through the DB and backend.

also want a web page with an access db...that when the palm synch it goes to the site where there is an xml file of names...Those names will now be added to the palm after I synch...

There will also be another web page that when I synch the new names that I added to the palm will be put into the database...

The key here is I want to synch using the XML and front end and not querying or accessing the database through the conduit.

I also want the pal to synch with a webpage..any new names added to the palm will not be transfered to the web page...

Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

Platform:
Visual Basic/ Appforge Palm/Handspring 3.0

Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:

Question about backend/front end...
what do you mean by backend? Is this to a local database? If not, I would always use ASP Pages and XMLHTTP to send/receive data (via post) to/from a server-side database.

Also (BTW), to a local database, I would NOT use the AppForge (AF) Conduit manager. The Palm Conduit would be totally independant of AF's conduit solution.

I can do project with...
AF 3.2
ASP
VB 6

Not too dificult to do, but I need to understand about 'backend' before I can give you a bid.

Thanks.
