Description:
Please look at http://www.emeraldpopstop.com and download the app. This is our current IE popup blocker. We are looking for someone to write a Netscape version of this application. You do not have to duplicate the user interface, just the functionality under Netscape. This program was written in VB, but I think C++ is required for Netscape control...
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP Netscape 6 and higher
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Jul 1, 2003 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Hi Mr. Jason Short, I was looking at your bid requested and I am very interested on it.
I have good experience in popup blockers, specially on multi-browser support features.
My bid for $400, includes not only adding Netscape 6.0+ support to the popup blocker, but MSN Explorer, Opera, and Mozilla browsers support as well, so I am bidding for upgrading your application to support 4 browsers more.
For reference, I have already done a popup blocker, it supports Internet Explorer, and these 4 browsers too, plus Windows Messaging Service popups blocking too, and other features. Since I did this popup blocker in Visual Basic 6.0, it would be easier to. integrate it in your program.
I can make a separate version for each browser or make a single package that would support this 4 browsers. Project finished in a few days after I notice my bid request is accepted, and with ongoing free support by email. If you have a few minutes, I would also like to ask
you to view my online coder resume and my past client comments, so you can know
more about my performance in their projects. If you have any questions don't
hesitate to contact me at your earliest convenience.
Best of luck in your project and thanks for taking the time to reading my bid.
Best Regards.
Abraham I.

Just a little note in regard to my previous bid:
While I ws testing your popup blocker, I noted that it doesn't even allows the popup window to be showed, and also provides a prompt window to specify if popup is allowed or blocked.
Well, the code to block the 4 browsers, Netscpae, Mozilla, Opera, and MSN Explorer doesn't has this feature, it works by looking at new browser windows, and closes them when they are made by the browser, so prompt support would not be allowed, sorry, but that would require using advanced and memory-consuming techniques like windows hooks and other tricks that may not be as fast as this technique used by the popup blocker I coded.
I just wanted to let you know this in case you are looking for this feature and to avoid communication problems in your bid request for your project.
Sincerely. Abraham I.
