Description:
This software will work with a custom-built usb joystick and will display avi files based on the movement of the joystick.
The joystick controls are three rotating knobs and two (two position) buttons. The software will detect changes in the controls and display predefined avi files in a single screen.
I need to be able to change what avi files are to be played when what controls are moved. The end-user will not have this capability to change files
1st knob will have about 10 different positions 2nd knob will have about 20 different positions 3rd knob will have about 10 different positions this adds up to about 2000 different avi files that will need to be selectable.
When the avi files are playing, they will be about 1 second clips and will need to playing continously, until another movement change is determined.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
4) Detailed instructions regarding changing the avi files to match the controls.
Platform:
Windows 2000 and XP

Hi,
A couple of questions if I may.
Will the AVI files have a sound stream. what is the size of the frame (x,y) ?
AVI with embedded sound may be difficult to control fast enough and the sound may get scrambled.
I do a lot of work with video files. It may be better to create your own format that would reduce the file load time. ie bitmap sequence without a sound track.
Do you have the USB JS interface ? - does it use a standard Windows JS Driver ?
All my video work is written in Delphi.
Regards
Steve.
