Description:
We are a digital event photography company. Our website has several hundred photos of jobs we have done in the past used as samples of our work. Currently these are not very well organized.
I need to create a management console to enter all of the samples on our website into a database. I will need several fields: Customer, Event_Name, Event_Date, Category, key_words, photo_release, description, filename. I may add one or two more. There should be a form for entering and uploading a new sample into the database(file can be kept on webserver folder, not in database). There should also be a way of browsing thumbnails of the samples(click photo to enlarge and show all info in database about photo). I also want a search page to seach by customer, category, keyword, event_name, etc. These should be able to find part of the name incase you do not know the exact name of something.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
I need the ASP pages and the Access DB.
Platform:
Windows Web Server Microsoft Access DB
ASP/VBScript
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:

hi I can complete this over the weekend, I have done a similiar project for a Intranet that I developed. yes the images are stored on the server and only the path is written to the database, this is not only efficient but saves the DB to inflate and aslo makes the search chunkier. I perceive your project something along this line: First Page which the user will see is the search page (partial search) which displays the partial matching results(optional you can have categories as well so to drill down search and make it more userfriendly). Second page will display the image thumbnails and a brief description of the matching search results. clicking on the image presents the user with a enlarge view of the sample photo and any description you would like to display (optional you can provide a ratings/popularity level as well (5 start three star). Third page which will be admin page which will be the control panel for admin to upload images and the description / Update and Deletion of the images already uploaded. Final question do you have access to the server because if you need to upload multiple images in one go than you will need to install ASPUpload COM else I can write you a script but its handicapped when it comes to multiple or batch upload meaning you would be able to upload one image at one time. I can show you a demo later tonite as I am at work now for another 8 hrs :-(. regards shubie
