Description:
Hi, I have an Oscommerce 2.2 version setup on my website which is running on a dedicated Linux box that I am renting. The problem is that I am using Plesk as the web environment tool, and it keeps screwing up Oscommerce. The programmer that set it up doesn't seem to be able to figure this out. I don't think it is really difficult if you know Plesk. I can point you to the tech docs spelling out what the problem is.
If you know Plesk, then this is probably a 15-minute job. If you know your stuff and are reliable, then I'll keep throwing work your way.
I did some research at Plesk' forum. Take a look at
http://forum.plesk.com/showthread.php?s=d33775d98167de3c8a8422279ad8aeeb&threadid=7429&highlight=oscommerce
Here is what I think it is (based on the link above)...
"You need to update the httpd.conf.include in the apache directory to include the vhost.conf file. At least that's what I had to do to get vhost.conf file to be recognized."
The programmer gets it working, but when I go into Plesk, it then wacks something out so OSCommerce goes down. I don't know Linux using SSH well enough to use that instead of Plesk, so this is the story.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Linux dedicated server

Sir,
adding an entry for vhost.conf helps if you are not running under safe mode for PHP, since in which case Pleask Openbase_dir forces pre definied directories to include and execute files.
Typically like this
php_value auto_prepend_file /usr/local/home/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/inc/prepend.php php_value auto_append_file /usr/local/home/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/inc/append.php
