Description:
Need an OCX written in VB 6.0 to add to my project. It will look and behave exactly as the SQL Server Schedule selection form. That form lets you pick the date/time to run a task, the interval, duration, etc.
In addition to prompting for this information, it must have a property to set/return the schedule as a string. The string should set all fields on the form when it's assigned. When it's read, it will simply return a string which can be stored outside of the control and passed back in later.
One other property to return a brief, text description of the schedule should also be provided. Something such as (Weekly, every 1 minutes between 12:00am and 5:00pm).
It must also have a method called NextRunTime. When a date/time is passed to NextRunTime, along with the schedule string, it will return a date/time value that qualifies as the next time according to the schedule.
For example, passing Now() would return the next date/time interval beyond Now() and according to the schedule constraints. If the schedule stated that the task should run every day at 1:00pm and Now() equaled today at 6:00 pm, NextRunTime should return tomorrow's date and 1:00 pm.
This will be used to let a user pick a schedule for their task to be executed. When a task list is loaded, NextRunTime is called to determine and show the next date/time the task will run. After the task runs, it will call NextRunTime again to get the next execution date/time.
I have written a control that works about 90%, which you are welcome to base your solution on. If you do, there are a couple of things in that source I would like corrected.
This is a simple project but I don't have the time to complete it to every detail. I'm swamped with other work and I need a 100% working solution.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) No installation package is required.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Must be written in Visual Basic 6.0
API's, etc. are fine but all libraries must be publicly available or their source provided.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
May 7, 2003 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.
