Hi,
I have been programming with VB for over nine years now (the last four or so with VB6). I have created many activeX components and have also created many internet enabled applications.
I can create this activeX control for you in VB6. It will have all the features that you request including the ones marked optional. One of the most important things to decide on is the exact format of the text file on the server that has the information that we need to retrieve. It would also be helpful if you could give me the URL where an actual text file containing that info is located and also have a file to be downloaded. If this is not possible then I can set up a directory on my own domain and create some test files to use for testing.
This bid also includes full error handing throughout the program, enough comments in the source code for you to understand how it works, and unlimited Email/IM support.
Please check the ratings and completed projects of those coders that you are considering before choosing.
Thank You,
WayneWare Software
