Description:
This is a very simple request and anyone with a good knowledge of VB should turn this over in a matter of days. This is only a high school project so should be very simple.
It is a stock control system which basically updates itself once an order has been received and once a sale has been made and all the usual basic operations that you may expect.
I have the whole system done in MS Access including the GUI (using Forms). All I want is the GUI designed in Visual Basic with the same database. The GUI should be simple and not flash at all. As I said, I have the GUI done in Access so you can follow/copy the design from that.
All code must be documented and MOST IMPORTANTLY I will need a detailed write up of how each part of the system was done (ie how each page is designed and how it is connected to the database), any problems encountered and how they were overcome.
Again this is only a high school project and shouldnt be too hard at all. I have a strict deadline though so I will need this done fairly quickly.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
windows 98, 2000, ME, XP
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Apr 18, 2003 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Dear whiteLotus,
I have strong foundation in Visual Basic. Besides I have strong commitment in Customer service as well as Human Computer Interaction. If you have few moments, please have a look at my ratings.
I will bare in mind that it is high-school project and will not make it too hard. What I would like to create is a simple but appealing GUI. Can I personally ask to have a look at the access first before taking the bid?
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I wish you a best luck in this particular bid and in using RAC.
Thanks, Best Regards,
