Description:
I have written a VB program which exports data into an Excel spreadsheet for viewing and printing purposes. The user should not be able to save the spreadsheet or even copy data out of it. Any kind of extracting data out of the spreadsheet (or distribution of it) should be prohibited. It would be nice if all of Excel's formatting option would still work.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows 2000 with Office 97 / Office 2000 / Office XP
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Apr 11, 2003 EDT

My name is David Brandenburg. I am a web/software developer located in the western suburbs of Boston and am interested in bidding on your project. I have worked extensively with VB and Excel VBA in the past and this project seems fairly simple.
I have a question concerning the project. When you say formatting do you mean cut, copy, and paste or just fonts, formats, etc?
The piece about preventing saving the worksheet is easy. In VBA you can turn the option off so the worksheet can not be saved. The coping is a little more difficult but definitely doable. I would just need to know what formatting options would be available. I have done many projects involving Excel and VB and am quite familiar with the environment.
All things considered, I think your project goals are achievable in the timeframe you&'ve indicated. This will allow for adequate testing and your approval. I am making a bid of $40 but this can be refined if there are chances to this proposal.
If you have a few moments, I&'d also like to ask you to review my online resume. If you have any questions, please don&'t hesitate to contact me through RAC at your earliest convenience. Lastly, I want to wish you the best of luck on your project and thank you for using RAC!
Best Regards,
