Description:
I want to be able to automatically save an email attachment as a text document in a specified folder in the normal file system.
The document will subsequently be picked up by a VB5 program for further processing.
The email client is Outlook 98 and the required program must be written in VB or VBA version 5, or whatever comes with Outlook 98. I would prefer VB5.
Ideally, the program would be permanently resident, or at least able to be run periodically under the MS Task Scheduler.
I will also consider a free standing program that would be manually initiated.
Deliverables: Complete source code of all programming work done.
Installation and operating instructions.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Hi,
I have code to automatically save the e-mail attachments in any place you specify. The nice thing about the code, is that it runs every time a new message is received, and will check if the item has attachments and if the item has been read. It will then automatticaly save the attachments in a folder you specify in the code e.g. 'c:\my documents'.
If you are interested, the code is complete !. |
