Description:
1. Use the Inputbox function to repeatedly ask the user to enter a series of test scores. When the user is finished entering test scores they will click the Cancel button on the Inputbox.
2. Calculate and display the following values:
The total of all the scores. The number of scores that were entered. The average score. The number of scores in the A range (90 - 100). The number of scores in the B range (80 - 89). The number of scores in the C range (70 - 79). The number of scores in the D range (55 - 69). The number of scores in the F range (0 - 54).
3. If no grades are entered (the user clicks Cancel the first time they are prompted for a grade) clear any “left over” displayed values (from previous scores) and show a message box indicating that no grades were entered.
On the next page is a sample interface for the program. The picture shows the program at runtime after the scores 72, 85, 95 and 100 were entered. Make sure you test the program with these values and others. Also test the program when the cancel button is clicked without any scores being entered. You can base your interface on this picture or design your own. Note: in my example the labels each have a different name “lblA”, “lblB”, etc. (i.e. I did not use a control array). These labels have their backcolor property set to white, and their borderstyle set to “Fixed single”.
The Example on page 360 of the Zak book may be helpful.
Remember only put code in a loop if it needs to be repeated. If code only needs to execute once, put it out side the loop.
Turn in: 1. IPO chart for the “Enter Grades” button 2. Pseudocode for the “Enter Grades” button 3. Source Code printout 4. The VB Program
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
