Linux Game Server .cfg Monitor
Bid Request Id: 53711

Description:
I run Linux Redhat 7.3 for game servers. I am looking for a way to have a .cfg file monitored for any changes. .cfg file is edited via FTP and saved. I assume that we monitor the cfg file(time/date) and if any changes are made to it then we need to kill the server by pid number, Then the sh file I use will restart the server automatically. Something like that. The sh file monitors the server and restarts it if the server is killed.
Thank You

Hi! I can write a shellscript which will kill a process (by process ID or by name) when a given file is updated. Or, since you already have a shellscript to restart the game server if it goes down, I could modify it to handle the config files as well, so you would only have to worry about running one program.
