Description:
This project primarly involves the conversion of a Visual C++ project to an ActiveX control accessible by 32 bit development environments, namely Visual Basic 6. The control must be able to be ‘docked&' (placed) onto a Visual Basic 6 form. As a coder, you will be required to make accessable every function of the library. Most of the source code, including encryption / decryption, hashing, random number generation compression and Base64 encoding / decoding is already provided in the Crypto++ 5.0 library. However, if select, the coder will also be required to write the secure delete functions, as defined in the attachment “File Deletion Standards”. The goal is to be achieved using Visual C++ 6.0, with no external dependencies, whilst maintaining ‘ready to compile&' compatibility with Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. The control must be multitask enabled, allowing the control and the hosting application to function at the same time. The host application must not appear frozen while the control is performing large operations.
Coders bidding for this project must have a diverse knowledge of both Visual C++ and Visual Basic, plus a high level knowledge of cryptography and other security procedures. Due to the complex nature of this project, the coder must be able to complete the project in its entirety before funds can be released. This is an important condition and should be understood before bidding.
