Description:
Our dialup access vendor is iSupport ISP (www.isupportisp.com). We purchased their turn-key system for private-label branding an ISP service, so our customer service, customer management database, monthly billing automation, and custom sign up software CD are all provided by them. We then decided to offer content filtering through S4F Technologies (www.s4f.com), and iSupport ISP completed *ONLY* the PERL scripting necessary for our private-labeled S4F software to interface with the customer management, billing and online sign up that iSupport ISP provides us. There is some additional functionality we need to have scripted for the S4F filtering *software* to work properly, and that is where you come in.
We have a "channel partner" account with S4F, and through that we have access to their servers with our own username/password that allows us to set up customers, create profiles for those customers, provide a code to those customers for removing the software from their machine, etc. We can either log in and do that manually (which we don't want to do), or run scripts on our webserver (RedHat7/Apache) that allow the thin client on the end-users machine to interface directly with the S4F servers to make those kinds of changes.
See deliverables for specific scripts we need.
$100 BONUS IF COMPLETED BY 3/18/2003 2:00:00 PM
Deliverables: Attached for you is the S4F Channel Partner integration manual, some sample/template cgi scripts to help you understand what we need, and the iSupport ISP userCheck script for authenticating users through our database on their servers.
The Integration manual gives you much more information than you need, of course, because most of the integration was completed by iSupport ISP. The scripts we specifically need to run from our webserver are createprofiles.cgi (this is the biggest piece - we need to allow customers to create, edit, and remove profile users on their primary admin account), upgrade.cgi (which checks to see if the software version running is the latest available), and register.cgi (which simply needs to check for their existing username or send them to our online sign up page), and cancel.cgi. There may be more. This bid request includes your proactive approach to helping us determine exactly what needs to be done, and the best way to accomplish it fast.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
RedHat 7.1 / Apache webserver / in all browsers
Our branded S4F software can be downloaded from: http://secure.s4f.com/v7/safetyNetUSA/filterpakwin710.exe

Hello, I have read your requirements, installed the FilterPak software, and integrated a new mySql 'channel' database for your S4F scripts.
I have been working mostly with PHP membership sites, but this a good project to work with in Perl.
If you are interested in talking further, I can currently provide you with a prototype which is on my server.
I have received prices on this project ranging from $300 to $1200 and I believe it is a fair quote of $500 to complete a quality project. I'm not sure if I can finish it by the 18th, but I'll do my best to finish it as soon as I can.
Marc
