Description:
i require the production of a generic e-commerce application (tool) to produce an e-commerce site upon demand. this will enable an individual to configure an e-com site to suit the needs of the individual business.
it should include tools to develop web pages using xml, applets to handle the client side processing and java to handle the server side and to handle stock lists and placement of orders.
the package should produce an e-commerce website. basic requirements for the site are virtual shopping basket, ability to calculate costs, customer order placing, online payment by credit card no.'s and allow the customers to check progress of there orders by e-mail.
time is of the essence so work will be required to be done at a very fast pace i.e. deadline in 3 weeks
code explanation and extensive testing routines also required.

Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
4) full code explanations and code in raw form.
5) testing routines coded(& also documentation)
6) university thesis standard.
Platform:
windows 98+, especially 2000nt.
internet explorer5+
server will be apache(if required)
database will be my sql or access
xml required alongwith java.
prefferably java gently packages required.

My only issue is that in the e-com site, the server side processing will
be through Microsoft's Active Server Pages (ASP) instead of Java, and
client side validations will happen using JavaScript instead of applets.
